Universal Medsurg Supplies, Inc came to us with a non existent Internet presence. Our team of experts drafted a plan that would allow for them to market their products online with little to no effort. This included really analyzing a plan that made sense over the long term.
Where did the company want to go? How did it want to grow?
The goal we agreed on was to find a way to market their full catalog of products to their existing market in an effort to increase sales. We also analyzed what they were currently doing to accomplish this goal so we could find more effective ways to use the Internet accomplish the same thing. Universal Medsurg previously relied on costly newsletters to promote their catalog. This was a problem for several reasons.
1 – Newsletters are disposable and once they are in the garbage or lost, they are useless.
2 – They are extremely costly with shipping.
3 – They are very rigid and don’t allow the product line to change quickly.
Blue Sail Creative offered a solution that helped contain cost while providing the opportunity to scale quickly. Our solution started with an overhaul of the companies branding. Alongside the website, we developed a brand identity for Universal Medsurg that consists of a new logo. The logo helps people identify the brand quickly and helps the marketing of the company expand faster.
We then developed a website that allowed the client to cleanly display the products that they carry. It’s very important for visitors to the website to be able to find what they are looking for quickly. We enabled a powerful search functionality to accomplish this.
We built the website on top of a powerful backend that accomplish the goal of scalability. The client now has the access to update their product catalog within seconds. They have the ability to display photos of the products, descriptions and categorize them by category / sub category.
The entire website is optimized for the search engines and will continue to scale as more products are added.
